EM-REX Emergency Door Release Unit – Trojan Developments
The EM-REX is a field-resettable emergency exit device designed for integration with access control systems in compliance with BS 5839 Pt 2. Unlike traditional break-glass units, the EM-REX provides safe egress without the need to shatter glass, offering a clean and reusable solution for emergency situations. It features both visual and audible confirmation of activation and includes two outputs—one for breaking lock power and the other for system status monitoring
This unit fits a standard single gang electrical flush box and includes a reset tool with each device. It also provides a clean N/O and N/C output configuration with contact ratings of 1 AMP at 30VDC. With minimal moving parts, a tamper-resistant faceplate, and an ancillary input for remote activation of the sounder, the EM-REX is suited for modern secure facilities where fast and reliable egress is critical
